Default Let's get the facts straight

I hear many people whining about how privatization will ruin the system, blah blah. But here are the facts of Bush's Social Security reform:

- You will be able to choose whether you want the current system or the private account system.
- The private accounts will not be accessible for purchasing goods (food, car, etc.) but only for investing and retirement plans
- The privatization program is aimed at people up to the late 40s, others close to retirement will keep the current SS system.
- There will be NO loss of benefits. (this is Bush's main point)
- Payroll taxes will NOT increase.

I will post more once I find some more facts.

The thing is, is that young people are more comfortable with investing and the stock market. This reform by Bush will give people more freedom and independence but with a safety guard from the government (a good Republican ideal).
