Thread: The NBA Playoffs are here!

I am loving the Mavs vs OKC series so far! Exciting close games that come down to the wire. I wouldn't be shocked if this series goes to 7 games. I believe if Dallas would have been able to keep Tyson Chandler on their team, they would be able to knock out OKC.

Lets hope the Nuggets vs Lakers game doesn't suck ass tonight. LOL

The guy needs to keep those emotions in check.
Amare is an idiot. And he has had an overrated career. IMO.

Did Utah forget that there was a game tonight!
Lakers up 2-0 on Denver. Very good!

    Bump.

Celtics take 3 - 2 lead over Miami Heat...as does OKC over the Spurs.

It's looking more and more like LeBron James can't win under pressure.

If indeed the Celtics take the Heat and advance...look for OKC to run them all over the court.

I pick the Thunder in 6 games to win it all.

It's not that LBJ can't win under pressure...

He's played great in this series, and, the playoffs as a whole...

It's that Miami's role players have been completely absent in this series...

That said, being in a win or go home position, Miami absolutely has to play Chris Bosh a ton of minutes Thursday night...

He's needed to create a spread on the floor, draw KG out of the paint, and to free up D. Wade & LBJ for more looks at the bucket...

That is their only chance to beat Boston...

Because Chalmers, Haslem, Anthony, Battier, et al don't seem like they're gonna contribute in any considerable way...
    Peace.

True enough, but I think LBJ at this point in his career at least...is not the dominant player equal to a Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Shaq...
Players that needed solid, yet limited support to win championships.

LBJ is looking more like a Charles Barkley, a great player but no ring.

LBJ is, statiscally, a better player than Kobe...

Not to mention, I don't think Kobe would've gotten all 5 of those rings were it not for Shaq, Gasol, Bynum, etc...

He wants to be a one-man show, regardless of other players on the court that can put up numbers...

He had much more than limited support...

Jordan had a great team as well...

Though he did make others around him better, which is a thing you can also say about LBJ, but, not Kobe...

Also, Jordan was almost a decade into his career when he won his first title, just like LBJ...

And, Chicago actually gave him decent players to work with...

Who did LBJ have in Cleveland?

    Mo Williams?

    Delonte West?

    Sideshow Bob Varejao?

    Different circumstances...
    Peace.

I just don't see it, even with good looks at the basket...he's not confident to take those last second shots.
Winning a championship, finally, may make him more confident...and yeah he did a lot with a little in Cleveland but his playoff performance
as a Cavalier was often mediocre. He gets a team there but not to the top of the mountain...and that is, as you say..inspiring your team to play better
instead of putting it all on your own shoulders.

The series isn't over, but the Celtics have played much more consistent basketball.

That is the one thing LBJ is lacking, that killer instinct...

But, let's be honest, Kobe has it, and he's not clutch at all...
    Peace.
