Default Long Live Legacy Technology!

Started this thread off the springboard of the TCPA thread where I advocated going back to legacy software while avoiding the Internet altogether, given recent developments in networking.

I was a very happy BBSer before the Internet and I'm looking at vintage BBSing as an answer to the new-tech armtwisting taking place online.

I've also made it clear elsewhere that I miss taglines, and so I'm going to take this time to introduce you post-Internet online junkies to vintage tech taglines. Yes, I'm a proud collector of taglines:
=======================================

FATAL ERROR: (A)bort, (R)etry (G)o back to paper & sliderule.

I'll listen to reason when it comes out on CD.

2B OR NOT 2B = FF

Old MacDonald had a computer with an EIA/IO

CHR$ (32) = The Final Frontier.

...IF WINDOWS$ = "useful" THEN HELL$ <32F

If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

Sorry, my mind has a few bad sectors.

Southern DOS: Y'al reckon? (Y)ep (N)ope

First Rule of Intelligent Tinkering: Save all the parts.

Electronics: The art of keeping the smoke IN the wires.

C:\DOS> C:\DOS\RUN> C:\DOS\CRASH> C:\USER\FORMAT C:

How much C could a C++ if a C + could + C?

DOSSHELL: Where you go for gas when the DOSCHEVRON is closed.

Is OS/2 half an operating system?

Default heh

I'm young, but I get too many of them. That cannot be good for mental safety.
