Default Idiotic

You can be a white supremist Nazi and defend people who murdered millions and it is protected speech. But defend the actions of the Columbine murders and you go to jail... ridiculous, if it was true. And this guy seems to have just been playing devils advocate.

Now this guy is known and on leave from his job, etc... I think this guy needs to sue to cops for somekind of false arrest.

And who is the pansy who is on a BB and can't take a troll.

Default sue

Of course you can't sue the government unless the government gives you permission to.

Kinda nice to know that they can screw up all they want to, huh?

Nathan, you are one to talk about trolls. Aren't you a DU regular?

Actually, I've found Nathan's posts to be extremely thoughtful, insightful, and polite. I've never seen a post of his that I would consider trolling. Could you provide some posts of his that you know of that you would considering Trolling?

Or is it that you definition of a troll is someone who doesn't agree with you?

Default gross ignorance isn't against the law

Arresting someone for posting nonsense on the internet, even praising criminal activity, is a clear violation of the first amendment, and shouldn't have a chance of even getting to court. If it does, then there must be a lot of people guilty of the same offense.

If the person who said the "teachers are overpaid and underworked" is guilty of of anything, it is gross ignorance. The logical sentence would be to teach in a regular classroom for a year. He might just learn something.

Default Here's the problem...

No one can give me a clear definition of the term "troll." To each person, it means different things. It's just like the judge ruling on pornography. In the end, all he could say was, "I know it when I see it."

I don't think the guy should be fired or prosecuted for posting on a BB. If fired, it should be for being an idiot... not for being a big mouth. Basically, while the Freedom of Speech is guaranteed by the Constitution, it isn't absolute. You can't yell "FIRE!" in a crowded theatre and start a stampede, or utter the word "Bomb" in an airport without getting arrested for it. In the end, I suspect it gets decided on a case-by-case basis.

This is rich. where did he misspell his name? I guess you are OK with Teddy Kennedy spelling his name? Explain to us how you get Edward from Ted?

I'm also curious about this.

The boy's name Ted \ted\ is pronounced ted. It is of English origin. Short form of Theodore (Greek) "God's gift" or Edward (Old English) "wealth protector".

So Teddy Kennedy, or Edward Kennedy, or whatever his name really is is "gods gift" and the "wealth protector"? I especially like the irony of that last one, don't you?

That depends on which perspective you are looking from.

and the "wealth protector"?
That depends on whose wealth you are referring to.
