I think if Bin Laden were ever to be caught, he should be given a fair trial, be it by the world courts, or a US court (Most likely world courts, as he did more than just attack America).

The kind of mob-justice or vigilantism I'm seeing on this topic on this board from other Americans is rather disappointing. If we mercilessly kill him before we can prove him guilty in a court of law, then how are we any better than the actions that he took against the western world?

Well, he founded a group that has been responsible for thousands of American deaths. He has attacked sovereign United States territory, ie... the Embassy bombings, USS Cole. He also claims to have masterminded the attacks on 9/11.

But of course, those aren't actual crimes
