We have a U.S. Marine who posts here frequently. A previous active participant in the operations in Iraq. He might even go back to the 'sandbox'.

And you can certainly find US war vets on every forum board I'm a member of. No shortage of them. Is there a point to your comment? |

as am I. I have a niece who was in harm's way.... I am not a 'chickenhawk' who wants others to do all the sacrificing while I cheer from the sidelines. Last edited by Herkdriver; 04-03-2008 at 08:46 AM. |

Indeed it is.
You've covered the MIC/Evil President routine. So I just pre-emptively countered the next liberal routine. If you support the Iraq war why aren't you over there? of course there's the Bush lied so...People died and Haliburton's blood for oil war Pretty much heard them all. No offense and apologies if I'm lumping you in with the other folks I've talked to over the years about this issue. Last edited by Herkdriver; 04-03-2008 at 09:21 AM. |

I think if Bin Laden were ever to be caught, he should be given a fair trial, be it by the world courts, or a US court (Most likely world courts, as he did more than just attack America).
The kind of mob-justice or vigilantism I'm seeing on this topic on this board from other Americans is rather disappointing. If we mercilessly kill him before we can prove him guilty in a court of law, then how are we any better than the actions that he took against the western world? |
