He was as VP for 8 years...where the hell was he then to help prevent 9/11 along with Clinton and pals? 8 Years in term while the whole stunt was being planned says a whole lot about what "Gore would have done"...he wouldn't have done anything but cut away from military and try and discuss thisngs over with extreme Muslims inculding Saddam who'd use him to whipe his butt cheeks. What a joke that 9/11 wouldn't have happened if Gore was President...9/11 would undoubedly have happened and maybe five more thereafter...thank God for the balls on Bush.

9/11 happened because the president Bill Clinton did nothing to and absoulbtly nothing to take down the terrorist(s) the attacked the WTC in 1993. They meant to bring it down and kill 4,000 people. What did they do(attack it 8 and a half years later in 2001 and kill 2,000 people) terrorist mission status: still in progress. Now lets revert back to Clinton before we start stickin all the blame on Bushie.

Why? Because Gore would have continued appeasing the Muslims like Clinton did Bosnia? The KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) had ties to Bin Laden and Al Queda.

If Al Gore were in office, I imagine Joe Lieberman would also be in office, no? I imagine that latter fact would not only provide the Islamists with more than enough fodder for recruiting more Jihadists, but be the stuff of endless conspiratorial babble about the Jews .......oops, I meant to say "zionists" controlling the world.

Especially inasmuch as he would have not said "you're either with us or against us", I doubt if there would be quite so many dunderheads in the world acting as apologists for the Islamists.

911 was in planning for quite some time and would have happened no matter who was in office. Had it been Gore, I would expect him to have gone into Afghanistan in pursuit of Bin Laden, but unlike Bush, I do believe he would have actually pursued Bin Laden.

I doubt Gore would have gone into Iraq, given no bid contracts to Haliburton, nor tortured anybody. He would have spent more effort building concensus, and I do imagine our image on the world stage would be different. Of course, I never underestimate the ability of certain people to offer up endless banal and extremely broad brushed condemnations, since anti-americanism is such an easy sport to undertake. It requires no intelligence, nothing by way of analytic abilities, and provides those who bash away with the illusion of the sort of moral superiority they otherwise lack in their daily travails.

I think Gore would have been a decent leader, although he would have received much more flak for 9/11 since Bin Laden was a know threat under Clinton. I
