Islamic terrorists trained in Britain plot an attempt against George Bush in Australia!
Australian daily newspaper reported a short while ago that Australian intelligence community security services had uncovered a terrorist cell on the territory of Australia. The cell is numbering some 20 to 25 people who are plotting a series of major terrorist attacks within the country in the course of the eight-day Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation leaders' meeting. The obvious targets are the Opera House, the Harbor Bridge, and the main venue, the Sydney Convention Center at Darling Harbor. It also became known that among other things the terrorists were plotting an attempt against American president George W. Bush who will also visit Sydney for the purpose of the APEC forum.
What really surprised me in this concern, not a single Australian newspaper reported the fact that one third of that terrorist cell's members had undergone training on the territory of Great Britain - nowadays this country is known as a haven for Islamic radicals and ragtags of all sorts from around the world. That's perhaps thanks to British security services' good-for-nothingness and idleness. Even so, Great Britain does not seem to have lost grip of its former colonies as it was able to press the case over Australia to prevent this information from being given to the public. Clear, new British prime-minister Brown would not like to have a load scandal during his visit to the US.
