So, these guys were "visiting Baghdad".... (shh... don't tell anyone)..... And someone seems to have known about it.... And voila, ten hostages. Ouch. "Quick, kill 'em before they get any political traction"..... |

So murder is down this month because AQ is taking hostages instead. They will prolly be having dinner with Benny Boy tonight. And Bennys crew apparently has no respect for Mercedes Benz. AT least the Right media will have something to report about, since they don't talk about US Troops.

Yeah, well - there is that. The policy still sucks, and we should never have gone there in the first place. Hardly matters now though, right?
I'll tell you what though, I wouldn't want to be one of those AQ clowns in the next couple of weeks - I mean, if I know Petraeus, he's gonna let 'em know who's boss - he'll probably do it very precisely and methodically (even "surgically"), but he'll leave no doubt in anyone's mind that this is the way "justice" works - I mean, yeah, I've studied this guy pretty well, he's really very good, he understands the Arab mindset as well as anyone, and certainly better than most Americans - My prediction on this one, is, we'll hear something "pretty quickly", like, the time frame will be maybe three to seven to ten days, somewhere around there - long enough to lay the groundwork, but not long enough so Joe Iraqi starts getting the feeling that nothing will happen - And then we'll probably get a news-blip about how some "terrorists were captured" or something, and if you dig into it to find out who they were after, you'll see.... bingo. But yeah, so let's see, this whole thing with the Turks is creating a little problem for us right now, isn't it? Hmm... you know, 'cause the Kurds, are like, our friends. They're the only friends we've got over there. And if we screw up that relationship, mm..... Well, let's just say I wouldn't put it past Bushie to do that somehow. So far so good though, he's staying out of it, which is probably the best thing he can do right now. But this all impacts "political stability", right? The President of Iraq is a Kurd, and unfortunately now Bushie's got to lean on him a little, to get something done so the PKK won't endanger the "rest" of his people, so yeah.... far from over, right? |
