Take a look at his voting record (what little there was) before he got "elected." Would it have killed you to have taken a look at him before you decided to support him? I guess, judging from your venomous defense of his actions supporting enemies of America, and his speeches around the globe apologizing for America being, well, America, that you were simply incapable of using google to do a 3 minute search and read of his voting history--what little of it there was. You'd have seen how anti-human rights he really is. You'd have seen how simply anti-American he really is. You'd have seen how big of a weasel he really is by refusing to vote on a huge number of issues, merely voting "present," trying hard to keep people from seeing just how radically anti-American he really is until he could sucker enough people into blindly supporting him into a position of serious power (I wonder what his kick-back to the MSM is for having run roughshod over his opposition and lying against them and in his favor at every turn).

Hope you're proud of your poorly researched choice. Hope you're proud of being counted among the unintelligible masses that were incapable of doing a simple search for his voting history. Hope you're proud of the damage he's chosen to do to our economy. Hope you're proud of having stood up and screamed at the ballot box that you're one of the ones incapable of simply questioning the free pass the media insisted on giving him every time a "tough" subject came along. Congratulations. Hey--maybe you have a number in your mind of when you're going to stop blaming the Bush administration for the short-comings of the great "O" (not Oprah--the other one). Will it be when you realize the DFL has been in control of congress since '06? Or how about when the elections come next year? How long will Bush have to have been out of office before you admit to yourself that the majority of the troubles have come from issues voted on AFTER Bush left office?

A question--how are the majority of the supporters for the hopped up senator from Illinois able to walk without running into things, keeping their eyes screwed shut so tightly?

So you're point is therefore it's OK for you and others to disparage him on the basis of outright lies like the one in the OP that he did not salute the tomb of the unknown soldier?

Now the title of the video I've watched about 5 times now says "raw footage".

In it, President Obama is clearly wearing a blue tie.

In the pic from the OP....he is clearly wearing a red tie.

I suppose it's within the realm of possibility that he changed ties between the laying of the wreath and the ceremony on the dais......

Well aside from the incredible amount of assumptions included in this post, everything from assuming I didn't do any research into the candidate I voted for, to lumping me into a group of people, (I'm really just the one person. I swears it! ); this was a simply brilliant attempt at a thread jack with an added bonus of attempting to turn the focus onto me!

Now---would you care to address the issue at hand?
To wit---there's been an allegation as stated in the OP, vigorously defended by many who've visited this thread, that our President showed horrible amounts of disrespect by not either saluting or placing his hand on his heart.

There is now in this thread evidence that he did in fact, place his hand on his heart, while Taps was being played, shortly after placing the Ceremonial and customary wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Would you care to address that?

It would also appear that the gentlemen on the dais are standing outdoors without any cover over them.
And that it is not an especially cloudy day.

In fact it appears as if the gentleman all the way over toward the right (as one is looking at the pic) standing in between the two men in uniform, is squinting slightly as is possibly President Obama.

The video showed it clearly being overcast with a slight drizzle.

My guess is this picture is some completely different event. They could be playing hail to the chief when the picture was taken for all we know.

But someone in the conservative blogosphere used the picture to create a false assertion to defame Obama, and it's off to the races! Like our own cabal here has shown, it's just spread around the net.

Just the first page results from a Google search "obama fails to salute unknown soldier" showing how lies like this are spread around.

Its becoming more apparent, isn't it? After a few days or week this lie like many others will have been debunked thoroughly. But it's out there so we'll see it pop up now and then. And by next week the next distortion du jour will be out on the net and in Politicalforum threads, no doubt.
