This nation seems to have a fascination with it downfall and throughout its whole history has been almost eagerly anticipating it. The thing that really gets me is those evangelical who constantly speak of the anti-christ and get their prophecies from random snippets all over the Bible concluding in radical different stories everytime!!!!! All this speak of doom gives the impression that America and us Americans are eagerly looking out the window waiting for World War 3 to come a knocking. When it happens (which it probably will) it happens but why dwindle on it and waste this age of bliss we live in?

Do I want World War 3? No. World War III would do nothing but cost the US and other countries both lives and money. Look at what we spent on the Lend Lease Act of World War 2. In my opinion, World War 3 is just an economical failure, but I do support the war, and if it comes to it, so be it.

If the alternative is living under Muslim extremists, then I have to say yes, bring them on.

Sometimes cultures have to FIGHT for their survival.

perhaps they woulden't want us dead if we did not support the terrost state of isreal, the definition of terroism is killing civilians and/or using fear to get to get what you want and that is exactly what isreal has done and with help from the "christians" in the united states but thats beside the point.

no I don't want WWIII it would cost the u.s. billions of tax dollers and many more lives.

World War 3 is not happening at the moment but many seem to believe that any future conflict will occur from either North Korea, Iran or possibly even China with the invasion of Taiwan. And those of you who have replied saying bring it on that's quite foolhardy considering any World War in this century would be certain to involve Nuclear Weapons and Gaar says bring it on? Good Luck with that attitude, but i don't want to take that kind of stance.

Some very stupid and unlikely things would have to happen on this planet for WW3 to happen.

Like if Iran or North Korea uses nukes against anyone, they would be immidiately raped by the world. If China invaded Taiwan then no one is going to respond with all-out war just to save an island.

So even if the current crisis get out of control, we are still far from a world war.

I think the US/allies vs. assorted Muslim countries is the closest anyone is going to get.

Sorry, I don't believe this War need to go Nuclear, I actually believe quite the opposite.

Nations like China and Russia are now seeing the dangers that present themselves when Rogue Nations are allowed to proliferate Nuclear Weapons. So I believe there will be no conflict between the "Big Three" as it were, and that we will all likely consent to the Military strikes it may take to get rid of Regimes who pose a threat to the entire World.

As Nations become more prosperous, they find less need for the use of WMD's and are more likely to seek Political means to air their grievances.

That is why we see the most violence coming from Societies that are Ruled by Regimes that are rooted in keeping their Societies subjugated to one degree or another.

In order for the entire World to begin to "advance" we need to root out the last of the backwards Systems and make the World a Totally Free and Democratic place. We are already well on our way, and most of it has happened without having to go to War...

So if we start with the next two Countries that were once the "Axis of Evil", we will show in no uncertain terms that we mean what we say, and that the rest may follow suit without having to "fight them" to do it.

But it needs to happen, one way or the other.

Oh! my God! I cant believe I'm hearing this! Muslim extremists are not a reel threat to us. Don't buy that ''war on terror'' crap! It's an excuse to control the oil field in the midle east, and help Israel get rid of it's enemies.
Reality is that drunk drivers, smoking, drug addictions, cancer, etc... are more dangerous than extremist. Of course now that we've invaded a couple Arabs country we are more likely to be attack by them, but still they are simply not that dangerous. Plus they are quit busy in the middle east now...
