Simple, we pay them not to work! They receive a check in the mail for food, heating, cooling; they are eligible for a free phone and free internet; and sometimes they are provided a home to raise their children (who they also receive checks for).

If someone is given the choice to sit on their couch in their subsidized house eating their subsidized food or go out in a field and pick fruit which do you think they would pick.

Export the ILLEGAL workers (people on visas do not fit this description), jail the illegal employers, place stipulations on entitlement programs (you work for your money); and watch those unfilled positions fill up.
So you think rounding up and deporting all the illegals is going to 'force' Americans to take farming jobs?? Dream on!

I am a farmer and we already cannot get enough labor so where are the Americans who wish to do this work?

You are commenting on a topic in which you have little knowledge and zero direct experience...
Did you know both our problems and the solutions can be found simply by looking in our mirrors...and...Never confuse the extraordinary stuff I think and write with that of a well-balanced person!

When Americans wake up so will the country...until then...we remain comatose and hopeless.

If you're not careful with your life's decisions, you will spend all your time in a cul-de-sac!

Please quote the US law that says Hispanic women cannot get pregnant???????

Look how fast Mexico's population has been multiplying. I say they are responsible for much of their own poverty.

In order to avoid another revolution Mexico's elite must have a safety valve to release the pent up pressure of ignorance and poverty. That is where Los Estados Unidos comes in.

The self-interest of the Mexican elite coincides with the self-interest of Big Business employers of unskilled labor in America. Big Business is interested in low cost disposable employees who won't create problems for employers.

The self-interest of the Mexican elite and Big Business employers in America coincides with the Open Borders left which seeks demographic change in America in order to propel it to permanent power in America. I would call this alliance of self-interest a marriage made in hell.

Then we need a program to import workers to pick the produce, pay them, and send them home.
The truth is neither right or left...it is the truth.

The poor in poor countries usually have lots of chidren to take care of the parents when they get old. With no retirement they have children hoping some will survive to care for them.

And the church is against birth control.

Contraceptives are available, but riding dirty feels good for the impulsive and the ignorant.

This is exactly what we used to have...migrant farm workers! They would arrive for harvest, move around from harvest to harvest, then go home. But this is not possible today without being strip searched and hassled and abused and detained, etc. so they avoid the borders wherever they might be.

But with the need for more workers and year-around work many of them just stay in the USA.

I'm not pro-illegals...I just know there are no other workers so it's either a few illegals or go out of business...

There are 17,130,891 Hispanic children, accounting for 23.1 percent of the people in the USA under 18 years of age. Between 2000 to 2010, the number of Hispanic children grew by 4.8 million. (by comparison, the number of non-Hispanic White children shrank by 4.3 million) The demographics of children today are generally a very accurate reflection of what the future population will be.

The fertility rate for women of Hispanic origin was 97.5 live births per 1,000 women aged 15-44 years, which is 50 percent higher than the rate for non-Hispanic women. For women of Mexican origin the rate was 112.3 per 1,000. National Center for Health Statistics, most recent statistics collected in 1981 (for comparison, the average american female fertility rate in 1976 was only 29.6 ) This does not even take into account that hispanics have children at earlier ages. Just like compounding interest, even a slightly higher rate will cause huge differential effects after being compounded over time.

In 2011, 37.6 percent of the population of California was hispanic. As of 2010, according to the state Department of Education, 51 percent of students (3.1 million) are Hispanic. In only a single generation, the hispanics will have gone to making up 37.6 percent to 51 percent. It certainly is not a trivial matter to so drastically alter California's population, considering there are already more people in the state than the entire country of Canada! (as of 2010, Canada has 34,108,752 people, California has 36,961,664 ).

Should the potential of overpopulation be a concern?

What could this potentially mean for the future of America?

So what's your point? Should people be concerned?
The Republican Party--"the party that spits in the face of our Senior Citizens and Veterans."

My post # 71 just trounced your post # 72. Looks like you couldn't come up with anything to respond to it (other than a mindless, childish temper tantrum. You won't "consider" anything, because you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
