I like his foreign policy and how he relates with the constitution, but I am a pretty big liberal who enjoys the services of big government, and I am kind of scared of what he will do to government agencies.
It's kind of hard to do a lot of the things he proposes in such a globalized and complicated economy that is so woven into corporatism. I wish his solutions were that easy. But I will still support him over any other republican candidate.

He is only talking about cutting the federal government agencies and programs that (*)(*)(*)(*) away tax dollars. If we don't need it then why should we pay for it? We could afford to live a lot better if we didn't have to pay for things like the $315 million Bridge to Nowhere. |

For the most part I favor Ron Paul. His plan to eliminate the IRS and the income tax is great, his position on small government is a breath of fresh air as is his anti-social program attitude, and for the most part(excluding terrorists) every American citizen deserves privacy from the government.
The only issues I have with him are on foreign policy and security. He is simply too passive on those subjects. Other than that though, he seems like a reasonable candidate.

Building a fence on the border, doubling the size of the Coast Guard, and maintaining all our nuclear weapons is too passive? This is where you guys just don't WANT to understand Ron Paul's position. He doesn't advocate being a pacifist. He advocates having a strong defense. But defense isn't starting pre-emptive wars in foreign countries and wasting trillions of dollars to oust a dictator that you had given billions of dollars to in the past.
