Default New England Republicans on Verge of Extinction

Quote:
April 9 (Bloomberg) -- There's never a seating problem when New England's House Republicans meet. That's because after the 2006 elections, the party has just one representative left in the six northeastern states: Chris Shays of Connecticut.

Come next year, there could be none. Shays, one of the last ``Rockefeller Republicans'' in Congress, is in another tight contest after winning just 51 percent of the vote two years ago. His support for the Iraq War is again a central issue and he is blunt about his chances.
Another indicator to be ignored.

Your headline is deceptive, since New England does not represent the US. Obviously they are not anywhere near extinct since they hold close to 50% of the seats and held the majority for the better part of 12 years. It just means the dems are extinct in another part of the US to make up for it.

His headline is not deceptive. What part of "New England" means he's talking about the whole country?

The initial post said Republicans, not New England Republicans. It was changed.

Who needs New England? Most people who get a chance to move out of there because of the cold. Unless global warming makes their climate better, their area geographically will be more and more insignificant as their population gets smaller as a percentage of the US population and their representation gets to be less and less of congress. I know a lot of New Englanders who are glad to get out of the cold, and will never go back.

It clearly says New England Republicans.

That was the title of the article; that's the title of the thread.

Do you know what states are New England states? I'll give you a hint: they're all east of the Hudson.

On another thread, you claim a person can't be held responsible for other people's ignorance.

It's not my problem if you don't know what New England is or isn't.

There's only one republican in congress representing that region: Chris Shays, and he said it.

Uhhh...no. I'm busy on another thread. Obviously. Since you are reading it.

I apologize. Apparently I was blind and missed the New England reference somehow. You are correct, there was no edit.
