Default Is our Democracy Turing Dictatorship?

www.usawakeup.org

Is our so called "Democracy" becoming more of a "Dictatorship" by the day, week, month, or year? Where will our Country be at in 50-70years? Why is this happening to our Country?

If it wasn't for the "Liberals" in this country, we would'nt be headed in this direction!

Default .

Its not turning into a dictatorship in the sense that you are thinking.

No one person is going to take control of this nation, and NO the government is not taking control.

But its the Republicans and the special interests in Washington who are turning this into a dictatorship that is being controlled by big business.

Im not worried about elected officials taking over. I DO worry about greedy, corporate CEO's going for that sort of a power play though.

Actually we are a Republic not a Democracy.
Nothing new is happening to our country the difference is the large availability of information which previous generations didnt have.

1.Bankers are influencing our goverment and have been for centuries.
What you prefer the Vatican and priests to do that job?
2.Federal reserve again influences our goverment and looks after the financial stability of every one, which sounds good to me.
3.Bear Stearns was bought out with the help of the Fed no the Federal goverment so no not our tax dollars.

1.Bankers have WAY to much power, and the federal reserve does own america. I would rather have the PEOPLE run america.
2. So when the federal reserve makes our money and we owe them interest on it, how don't they own us.
3. the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

1. We dont live in a direct democrasy. If people ran America it would be total anarchy, a direct democrasy is a utopia and is impossible unfortunately. Bankers do have alot of power but thats because they fuel the supremely powerful US economy. No bankers = No Money creation = Third world.
2.Well if we didnt have the Fed there wouldnt be enough money to keep the economy growing in a stabile way. If we just print money we will cause inflation, if we use the gold standard we are limiting economic growth. We need bankers to oversee financial operations not Washington Politicians who would drive the economy into a coffin.
3.Right its so bad in the US that millions of legal immigrants flood into our country from around the world. Because the poor get poorer Millions risk life and limb to come to the US illegally and many die on the way. I have worked for minimum wage now I make a decent middle class living. Its the land of opportunity the only gap is between the hardworking and the lazy.

I love that from Alexander Fraser Tytler.

I'd say we may be around apathy to dependence. It is hard to pin point it.

It is hardly a democracy even at the best of times. You have just one more choice than the Soviets or the Cubans or the Maoists. What is up with this Spartan interpretation of democracy? Why is only one additional voice able to make its voice heard??
