Of course we are the most hated. Being the world superpower, we make the biggest decisions and no decision is going to ever make everyone happy.

The US has the largest and most technologically powerful economy in the world, with a per capita GDP of $46,000. In this market-oriented economy, private individuals and business firms make most of the decisions, and the federal and state governments buy needed goods and services predominantly in the private marketplace. US business firms enjoy greater flexibility than their counterparts in Western Europe and Japan in decisions to expand capital plant, to lay off surplus workers, and to develop new products. At the same time, they face higher barriers to enter their rivals' home markets than foreign firms face entering US markets. US firms are at or near the forefront in technological advances, especially in computers and in medical, aerospace, and military equipment; their advantage has narrowed since the end of World War II. The onrush of technology largely explains the gradual development of a "two-tier labor market" in which those at the bottom lack the education and the professional/technical skills of those at the top and, more and more, fail to get comparable pay raises, health insurance coverage, and other benefits. Since 1975, practically all the gains in household income have gone to the top 20% of households. The response to the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 showed the remarkable resilience of the economy. The war in March-April 2003 between a US-led coalition and Iraq, and the subsequent occupation of Iraq, required major shifts in national resources to the military. The rise in GDP in 2004-07 was undergirded by substantial gains in labor productivity. Hurricane Katrina caused extensive damage in the Gulf Coast region in August 2005, but had a small impact on overall GDP growth for the year. Soaring oil prices in 2005-2007 threatened inflation and unemployment, yet the economy continued to grow through year-end 2007. Imported oil accounts for about two-thirds of US consumption. Long-term problems include inadequate investment in economic infrastructure, rapidly rising medical and pension costs of an aging population, sizable trade and budget deficits, and stagnation of family income in the lower economic groups. The merchandise trade deficit reached a record $847 billion in 2007. Together, these problems caused a marked reduction in the value and status of the dollar worldwide in 2007

Here's a concept:
As an American, I don't give a flying crap what anybody from other countries thinks about the US.
yeah,
i meant more generally
the nation of Australia is one of the few nations that is always friendly towards us,
making them one of the USs best friends.
along with England, Israel, Japan, and ... thats pretty much it.
so, this guy aside, they get extra credit for being loyal.
and i know a redhead from Australia,
and she's quite cute.
extra extra credit.

your concept is quite correct.

I think you all are proving his point. america is number one in many issues, but hey, no one is perfect! I think the america will keep the title for now. (I think this disproves his point!)
bush hurt your reputation much though.

im sure someday someone will match or surpass us.
but we're here now,

Did my eye's deceive me? did I just read that
people around the world hate our guts?
Oh, no, please tell me it ain't so.

Dam that Bush, he made people that hate our
guts not like us.

what the hell is going on here? when did we
enter the popularity contest? and who was
holding the contest? where was it?

Was it right after WW1? because they did not
like us then, or was it after WW2? because they
did not like us back then ether.

So tell me again, what did we lose that we did
not have to begin with?

Dam I hate losing something we had no claim to
to begin with, it just erks me to no end.

It's the fact that Amercicans such as yourself are so in love with your country that peeves people off. You can be proud of your country, sure, just don't parade it around and claim it to be 'the best' or 'the greatest' because people in other countries are just going to get even more sick and tired of Americans than they already are.

No offence, but Amercia needs to change it's attitude. Stop sounding so vocal in how wonderful you all think your country is, and people will have a lot more respect.

The problem is the fact that Amercia is so vocal in it's belief of being 'most popular'. I imagine that the US is only the most popular to the US itself, and not other countries, which surely says something that should be taken on board, but isn't.

I am not sure about Bush making the US 'more hated' but many people are unhappy with him, although that isn't exactly your fault, having a President who has made so many unpopular decisions. Then again, you people did vote him in...
