I doubt if anyone can dispute any of the stated points concerning the AMerican system and especially its foreign policy record.

Its all on the public record - people can hide behind nationalism and patriotic rubbish but the facts remain in the end.

The last point concerning US citizens being number 1 at claiming o be number 1 may be a universal trait in most nations.

Australian think that their nation is the best in the world.

You go to Europe - the same thing applies.

Who can argue with the French for example?

I also suggest that you look at which nation marches FIRST at every Olympic games opening ceremony followed by all the other worlds nations who are ordered alphabetically - Is Greece Number one then?

We all cant be NUMBER ONE at the same time now can we?

Its just irrelevant nationalistic crap that tends to do more harm than good

I don't know which Nation marches first at the Olympics Opening Ceremony, but I do know the last Nation to march is the host Nation.

Greece always marches FIRST at every olympic games opening ceremony

And I think Greece marches last at the closing ceremony - not 100% sure on that one however

I suggest you get some footage of EVERY Olympic games in History and look at the nation marching out first.

Greece

everybody else is alphabetical

What did you think? That the modern Olympiad is an American Invention? Wouldnt surprise me if you did though

(the Greek Olympic team with its Greek flag was even marching first at the Altanta games in 1996 - have a look. The US has never marched first - no one except Greece marches first at the Opening ceremony

Thats WHAT I AM GETTING AT!

I think you have this wrong. The host nation always marches last. At the Athens Olympics, Greece marched last. The other countries came out in alphabetical order, as has already been stated.

It should be in alphabetical order. I don't expect Greece to march first, no.

I take that back, it seems you are indeed, correct about this:

Quote:
Traditionally (starting at the 1928 Summer Olympics) Greece marches first, because of its historical status as the origin of the Olympics, while the host nation marches last. (Exceptionally, in 2004, when the Games were held in Athens, Greece marched last as host nation rather than first, although the flag of Greece was carried in first.) Between these two nations, all other participating nations march in alphabetical order of the dominant language of the host country.
That's actually very interesting, the reason why they march first.
