Felony according to federal law. The War Crimes Act of 1996, to be specific. It's enforced by our government. Maybe you should do a little research before you get carried away with how stupid I am.
How can I research your position until you lay it out? I am trying to help you lay your case out rationally. So, you are citing an American law to enforce an international agreement? Okay. Let's see the relevant law. And, you claim this law applies to entities that have not signed on to the convention as well as entities that exist to defy all the rules of the convention?

Prove it.

Bush is worried about a possibly Communist government that might come into power in November that would look for any excuse to execute him for their political differences. I honestly think that anyone who thinks Bush had anything to do with Abu Grahbi or whatever is probably in the 35% of Democrats that think Bush was responsible for 9/11. They should all go to Rev. Wright's Trinity Church and sing Kumbaya with Obama and friends while blaming HIV on the rich white Republicans in the government. I have to say that I don't blame Bush.

I'm not quite sure what you don't understand. The law says it's a felony to violate the Geneva Convention. If you do something that goes against the Geneva Convention, it's a felony. The Geneva Convention says you cannot torture POW's, so if you torture POW's it's a felony. Starting to get the picture yet? And I already cited the law. The exact wording is available here. You can dance around all you want, but it's still a felony.

A war crimes trial would be the best way to find out exactly who's responsible for the war crimes the US has commited.

LOL. You act like you just proved the case to the USA Supreme Court. You haven't quoted a single law, threw out a link that makes no case whatsoever. Are you simply lazy or ignorant of the law?

The link you cite does not respond to my specific questions at all. Nothing in there states an illegal combatant who violated the entire spirit of the convention and who is not in any way affiliated with a signatory of the convention deserves protected status. Nothing describes action against a non-signatory convention violator as a war crime.

Your "case" is non-existent at this point.

You would find Bush completely innocent. It would be ridiculous to think that Bush had anything to do with a couple of soldiers across the world who didn't do what they were supposed to.

Here's what I think is being talked about.

http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/18/2441.html

http://www.capdefnet.org/fdprc/conte..._usc_2340A.htm

Bush and any others could be prosecuted for conspiracy to commit these acts (Torture). They also can be charged internationally.

As I said, first you have to prove a violation of the Geneva convention. I see there isn't even an attempt to do so, a refusal to even try. You have cited American law to punish a Geneva convention violation. Fine. Prove there was a violation.

LOL.

From the Geneva Convention.

Quote:
No physical or mental torture, nor any other form of coercion, may be inflicted on prisoners of war to secure from them information of any kind whatever. Prisoners of war who refuse to answer may not be threatened, insulted, or exposed to any unpleasant or disadvantageous treatment of any kind.

You must prove it applies to non-signatories, entities that have not agreed to nor follow the Convention, and you must define prisoner of war. You must cite the exact verbage to prove your case....come on now....
