I guess that Danish Dynamite (or whatever his exact name is) is from Denmark. Lets see what he has to say about that low unemployment rate. Perhaps we can learn something.
Do we have any posters from Austria?

I want to argue every time I see this phrase.

Americans would happily take jobs as fruit-pickers and such if they could afford to. But they can't, because the cost of living (especially important stuff like medicine) in America is such that you can't be wasting eight hours of the day on a low-paying job.

Which works out great, in the short-term, for business. I'll admit that. By making Americans so desperate for money that they can't work minimum wage, businesses are able to hire illegal workers at less than minimum wage, thus further devaluing the income of working Americans.

This then screws business over in the long term, because American workers no longer have the income available to pump back into the system.

All because it's easier to believe that American workers are lazy, rather than screwed. Somehow. I'm thinking people who believe that don't actually know very many American workers, though.

How did you determine that? What are you basing that assumption on?

I've never met a single American that wanted to be a fruit picker. Not one.

You mean like Fast Food?

We have tens of millions working low wage jobs.

Is that what your basing your argument on?

Anyone know what the average age of fast food employees is?

Yes. How many Americans have you met with "fruit picker" on their resume?

That's the point. They'd be evicted and dying of starvation in a month if they were working as a fruit picker. I personally think fondly fruit all day would be pleasant

You mean "Agricultural Production Associate". Or "Crop Yield Consultant".

Sounds like you've bought into the left-wing lie that started when McCain admitted that he's no economist. The same kind of left-wing lie that started when Newt Gingrich said that a certain health insurance rip-off in the D. C. area would, "...die on the vine.", and the Dems said he was referring to Medicare. What a whopper THAT was! McCain's ill-advised honesty was only intended to point out that any president needs assistance from economic advisors who, hopefully, know what they are doing.
