Yep, Chicago. Also home for 2.8 million residents and the entire "Chicagoland" area has a population of 9.5 million people. (to put this in perspective, the state of Alaska only has a total population of around 626,000)

If you've never spent time there, STFU. Because its a fantastic big city. Where do I start? Fantastic lake front and beautiful skyline. Mucho jobs, home of great museums, Field, Science and Industry, Aquarium. Art Institute. Great public transit system. Home of the White Sox, Bears, Hawks, Bulls, Cubs. Wrigley Field, a jewel for baseball fans everywhere in the middle of a great neighborhood. Theatre galore, several music venues and clubs. Any kind of music, you can find it. Neighborhood and ethnic festivals. University of Chicago. On and on and on.

If Obama wasn't from this state, we wouldn't be reading such tripe from the "rubes" of the country who don't have a clue about this fantastic city.

Well, there's always Crawford, Texas, but there seem's to be a lot of brush there.
