What are your thoughts on giving more power to the states?

Very good post
I was going to write "50 individual countries" in my last post on your poll thread, but I left it out lol.
The states need to retain their power. It makes me sad to constantly see it get stripped away and handed over the the federal government. The states have most of the power in this country, and that's something that a lot of people fail to realize. It's really disheartening to vote in state elections and seeing 50 people there. Waiting in line for 1-2 minutes and then being able to vote.
I don't think people realize just how much power the states have and are granted. I don't think people actually know the contents of their state's constitution. I bet even fewer know when their last state constitution convention was.
I forsee a future of the federal government taking control of nearly all aspects of our lives... and that will be a sad day. It will no longer be the United States of America, it'll just be America.
