while I am at it I would :

place a large tarriff on all imported goods this would also include american companies that moved to another country to save money on labor

increase production in this country and get it back to the industrial prominence we held during the 50 thro 80s

stop all immigration both legal and illegal for at least 20 years like they did in the 20 thru the 50s

reduce government spending and lower all taxes accross the board

difference could be made up in tarriffs

that makes my life span about 2 weeks

So obviously i would take all your stuff and bring to my country.

And then i'd plan my funeral the next day.

I would take the office, if my polices are successful I run for reelection. If I win I would retire from public office after my second term since power corrupts people usually. If I lost, I still retire from political office and continue as a activist.
