No one in their right mind would ever want to be president of the USA. Maybe that tells us something about people who actually do run for that office.

Having your every move reported in the press, seeing yourself and your positions caricaturized, listening to lies and half truths about every aspect of your life and that of your family, not being able to go take a quiet *** without someone hovering around.

No thanks.

When I go out to the river to harass the trout, I don't want a gaggle of reporters and photographers taking shots every time my fly winds up in a tree instead of in the water.

And I don't want to have a bunch of yahoos following me around all the time. My dog is the only one who needs to do that.

There's also the ancient issue--maybe unresolvable, but quite real nonetheless:

anyone who wants to be president is a person who craves power--craves personal power over other human beings. And only the MOST power-ambitious have a real shot at getting the job.

As has long been noted, the person most suitable for positions of great power are precisely the ones who do not desire it.

ANYWAY, I wouldn't take the job. Too much stress. They'd have to pay me a LOT more than 200k a year. 'Course, if some of those "foreign ambassadors" gave me some cool guitars or somethin', that would be a nice perq.....

Absolutely, I would make changes across the board.

The first thing that i would do is eliminate all racial based programs to create racial equality.
It would include college admissions, grants, funds(AACF), segregated media(BET), entitlements and anything else that has a hint of divisive potential.

NAFTA, make copies to create custom toilet paper for all government facilities to flush down the toilet.

Recall all troops to our borders(Hard Borders), to never fight a foreign war unless first attacked.

Cut off funding to Israel, Africa, France and anyone else that works against our interest.

We have the technology to allow everyone to vote on any new legislation with a secure data base that could be tied to RFID implants, therefor we would not need congress.

I don't know, being president would be fun, and 200k a year is more than what I get now. And you forget that they usually bring in more money than that anyways.
