Geez.
Might as well ask: "If you were a sheep, would you want to go to a dinner party with a bunch of wolves?" |

I have many policies that I would actually support working with a president to be implemented but I could never, ever survive with having the responsiblity of being a president.
I am also a poor speecher, writer, and debater face to face with people, so I would not be able to survive the polical apsect of trying to make people support my ideas. An advisor to a president would be nice though... |

Okay, so I am not American. Doesn't mean I can't harbor a secret desire to control you all...
I'd be President because I rekon it'd be fun for a time. Likely I wouldn't be able to handle the responsiblity, but I figure that by being Leader of the Free World, I get to make some decisions. So, I'd make the big decisions, and hand all the little crappy decisions I can't be bothered with to someone else to deal with. I'd change as many laws as I could, just so I could (*)(*)(*)(*) you all off. One of those laws would make it legal to streak naked down your street at any time of the day. I think even the President would get a laugh out of that one. Obviously, I am not being serious here. I'd just want to be President so I could make some changes, try to make the country better, and not so stuffy and conservative - which, no offence, is kinda what the US is. You need loosening up a little. As for other responsiblities that come with being President, well, I doubt I could deal with those. I'd just like to make a few decisions, that could not be changed, then hand the job to someone else. And reading what I have just written makes me realise this post is pointless, but I'll press the reply button anyway.

As a matter of fact I hope to get into politics someday. It will probably never happen but I plan on running for as high of an office as possible here in the state of Utah when I get older.
I figure with a military background it doesn't hurt my chances. I have worked and currently work in the Health Care industry, my wife is a registered nurse, and although I have changed my major I am now going after a History degree. So I think down the road when im in my 50's that would probably been decent enough "experience" to run on. The question will be money and obviously ratcheting up enough support to even get on the ballot. So obviously the chance to be President would be something I would jump at in a heartbeat. Im not an expert on a lot of different things, so my first order of business would be surrounding myself with people who are experts in all the different areas that I would need. It would be a bi-partisan cabinet. Ones political affiliation wouldn't matter because quite frankly I would be in charge and would be the one making the final decisions. I would simply want to hear all sides of the argument before making the tough decisions that a President has to make. I wont bore you guys with anything else, because lord knows ill never be President of the United States....Especially not as an Atheist lol, but still I would most definitely do it, and would surround myself with people not afraid to speak their minds and from all different walks of life and beliefs and levels of expertise so that I could keep partisan politics out of the picture and try to do my best to make informed decisions.
