I woud love the job. First things first, I would get a public works plan, try to get the all the people without jobs to work for there citys, states and so forth. Then I would cancle any plans to have anything named after Ronnie Regan.I would declear Iraq a major mistake, Declear the war on drugs a major funk up, and make it a a health issue and make little things like pot, small amouts of drugs legal(lets face it why waste our tax paying dollars on war that we fight yet our goverment gives thugs clean and pure drugs to sell, remember Ronnie Regans war on drugs)
As for our war on terror, I would make a speach which would go something like this: " Today we walk into a new era, an era in which back ally deals will no longer be made with nations who supply thugs or terroriest with weapons and money. The United States will not be bullied by the gas nations. We will no longer be slaves to middle eastern oil. We have new sources of energy, in which is made in america and hired in america." As for air force one I won't ride in the new one if it's made in eroupe. |

Aside from not wanting to take a substantial cut in pay, the problems I solve for companies have measurable and close to immediate results, which I find much more satisfying. In addition, I prefer working in near complete isolation, with my only connections to the world of endless meetings and tiresome discussions being electronic ones that can be switched off at will.
I would miss being able to just walk away from my desk on a nice summer day to fire up the smoker for a batch of ribs, heading to the beach, or taking off an entire day in the middle of the week to go out to the racetrack for a club track day. I put in the same 60-70 hrs a week most Presidents log (at least those capable of staying awake all day), but I have much more freedom to decide when I put in those hours, and what I do during them. For putting up with that level of aggravation and invasion of privacy I'd want no less than $150 million a year tax free, plus my own private island when I was finished. You only live once, and anyone willing to sell five years to a decade of their life for cheap is a fool IMO. One out of ten presidents seem to do so out of a sense of service, the rest tend to be power junkies and bottom feeders. oc |

After he leaves office, he will be able to make a ton of cash accepting speaking invitations (which is kinda funny if you think about it) and if he decides to avoid speaking invitations (like he has done as the President), he can always go back into the private sector and run a few more companies into the ground. |

One of my greatest wishes is to be a politician when I'm older. The President commands a great deal of respect and has the opportunity to leave a mark on history. If I can change the country for the better, which I believe I can, then my service as president would render all other jobs obsolete to me.

If i were president, i'd relocate all democrats west of the Mississippi and republicans east of the Mississippi and do away with all independents.
Put one big nuke on each side and tell em both to get their act together ! Than i'd move to Fiji and wait to see what happens! But , thats just me. |
