You are correct there are far too many sheep that want big government to take care of them. America is going down in a big way. The question now is how quickly will it happen.

If the Town Hall Mobsters have their way, we'll have martial law just in time for Thanksgiving.

They can talk all they want about the individuals and corporations that are getting behind the movement. When they use over-the-top rhetoric like "swastika carrying mobs" they are going too far. Instead of considering their concerns these politicians just try to paint them as a bunch of wackos. The out of control government spending is getting people fired up and I hope more businesses and wealthy individuals get on board with this movement.

When a group resorts to underhanded tactics, why should they reasonably expect anything other than being treated underhandedly?

I assume you're referring to how Obama tried to push this trillion dollar nightmare through Congress before they had a chance to read it or go home and hear what their constituents had to say about it.

Good example, but I was referring to the protesters who are getting violent and expect everyone to say 'oh yes we are behind you 100%'.

I'd prefer my elected officials take the high road. If the party apparatchiks or Union leaders or Business leaders want to play games, fine, have at it. But I don't want to see a Constitutional office holder or his / her staff pull lowbrow stunts.

I'm particularly offended / ashamed today by the comments of our press secretary, suggesting that vocal citizens at Town Hall meeting are "the Brook Brothers Brigade", "Astro Turf grassrooters" and nothing but "manufactured anger."

I've watched the videos and yes some get demonstrably vocal, but political speech can get loud. Regardless, what I see is real anger from real citizens. Citizens that Gibbs represents as a paid staff member of the Obama administration. It debases the office of President when Gibbs dismisses the concerns of citizens that he works for.

This is not leadership. And if this divisive rhetoric from elected officials / staff continues, the prophecy of mobs run amok is going to be self fulfilling

Cheers
Labour

when Black Panthers man polling places with clubs intimidating voters and then walk from it with charges dropped somehow this thread just cracks me up as well as the stance if the libs participating in it take. Obama makes Cheeney look good in comparison, and I thought he was the biggest crook ever to get near the oval office
