Some days I don't read so good either. Usually after 12 cocktails.

So you have no valid response to my (correct) assertion that the fall of the Wall was a direct result of poor economic policies instituted to outspend the US in the Cold War, and had nothing to do directly with military action, as you stated?

Could have been worse. He could have furthered the myth that Reagan had any active hand in the wall coming down.

Yes, it is all about Obama. He will be going to pick up his Nobel Prize soon enough. Why? Because it is all about him. There is nothing in it for him to visit the Wall. It would only remind people of his yellow streak. He couldn't measure up to the symbol of the Wall because he would be humbled by the great men who went before him and stood up for something in a way that he doesn't understand.
It marked the end of communism, something very close to what he holds dear, something he wants to spread around to as many as who will have it. The Wall is a clear reminder of the things that cannot be sustained as well as the endurance of freedom. In order for him to stand where the Wall once stood would mean he was a man who stood for something strong, that he had fight in him, that he would not cower when it was time to act. Obama cannot afford to be measured in such a way. The resulting estimation would have him falling short. Yep, he will fly to pick up a trophy, but not to stand on something monumental. It is all about him.
