Lust is a prerequisite to love. My old wife has taught me many things including the meaning of sacrifice and endurance. Those are Han cultural characteristics. I have taught her about humor. That is not a Han characteristic.

For reference the new bridge in San Francisco is being built by the Chinese, you can see news reports of it Online.
Ah yes, the East span of the Oakland Bay Bridge.

And no, it is not being built by the Chinese. It is being built by the Fluor Corporation (of Texas), and the American Bridge Corporation of Pennsylvania.

Some componants of the bridge however are prefabricated in China, most notable the decking. And other parts come from other places, like England, India, and Mexico.

However, the bridge is designed and built by US companies and US workers.

A joint venture between two American companies, American Bridge and Fluor Enterprises, won the prime contract for the project in early 2006. Their bid specified getting much of the fabricated steel from overseas, to save money.

That is what all girls need to beware of when they rush headlong into the trap of love.

Sure, the poor woman has to endure a lot.

Whether Chinese are lacking in sense of humour is open to dispute, but I know at least they do not lack "cents" of humour.
"Democracy is two wolves and a coyote voting on who to have a sheep for dinner. Liberty is a captive wolf returning to the wild. Freedom of speech is a wolf howling indiscriminately. Freedom of expression is a wolf urinating indiscriminately. Dictatorship is a lion eating a sheep first before sharing it with a wolf and a coyote. A one-party rule is a pack of wolves chasing the coyotes away from the sheep. A civil war is a snake swallowing its own tail." -- reedak
