Ammo for the Yamato and Musashi designed specifically for their 18" guns- as I recall essentially like giant shotgun shells- and completely ineffective.

For me, WW2 has fascinated me since I was about 8...not exactly sure why.

Well the 18" thing was some random bit I remember from when the Musashi was attacked- I used to read tons of this stuff- not so much anymore but I remember bits of pieces. That one I legitimately knew- but not my brain was prodded some. I will think of a question shortly.

About the japanese AA ammo and system... What strategy or device did the japanese navy used to coordinate and control their AA fire from multi ships during an attack?
