Off topic- but related....

Watched a B-25 fly today- out of the Truckee Airport- lovely machine. A P-51 too, but I have seen P-51's fly before, so it wasn't as much of a thrill- my first B-25 though.

I wish I could remember for sure what I have seen- but here is what I can be sure-
B-29 (long time ago)
B-25 today
P-38
P-51
Sea Fury
Tigercat (fighting fires)
Bearcat

There was an airshow in Palm Springs years ago where I think I saw a B-17 come in but I am not sure. And maybe a P-47 and Wildcat years ago at the Reno airshow, but that is iffy.

If you wish to see most of them they are on the tarmac at March Air Field in Moreno Valley, cost you 5 bucks as a donation. Got a B 52 and sometimes a SR-71, a coupla MIG's too. Get off on the Van Buren Blvd exit off the 215 south, turn toward the field and follow the road.

Can anyone help with a WW1 question?

Christmas Truce 1914.

I have a video - it says:

"Dawn. Christmas Day. On the Front Line, near the French town of -------
The Welch Fusiliers are just 80 yards from the German trenches."

Can't make out the name of French town. Sounds like "ouplei" or ouklei". Am probably a million miles out...

Any ideas? Anyone know?
