Sorry im not homo dude, its clear you are tho.

I meant racist wolf, i thought he had a monkey avatar.
In my view the pyramids aren't just any piece of property like any other. They are part of humanity's heritage, a wonder of the world. The normal property laws don't apply to it.

And my response was sort of on the same level as being called a racist monkey. But since you never called me a racist monkey to begin with, since it was all a misunderstanding. Let's forget about that eh?

Then feel to get together the Swedish Expeditionary Force and do something about it.

And sorry, but your first post had more then a touch of "White Man's Burden" about it. Something that is usually seen in racists.

" Calls from a Bahraini Sunni cleric to destroy Egypt’s Great Pyramids have been revealed as a hoax. The demands were made from a Twitter account which claimed to be owned by Bahrain’s President of National Unity, Abd al-Latif al-Mahmoud.
In the post, a person masquerading as al-Mahmoud labeled the pyramids “idolatrous” and asked Egypt’s new president to destroy them, as Egypt's Daily News reports.
Several conservative websites used the news to raise alarm over the rise of Egypt’s Islamist government.... "

I never said i didnt. However if the peoples who built the monuments want to deconstruct them, they should be able to.

one can make the case for some buildings atleast, that the culture who built them are not around anymore and the culture currently in possesion of the building in question just conquered it. Which wouldn't grant them any rights to demolish them.

And why not? That has happened constantly throughout history. Just look at what happened in Baghdad when the Saddam reign crumbled. All over the grountry, statues and monuments were toppled in front of live TV cameras, and nobody complained.

When the French Revolution was won, the mobs destroyed a lot of landmarks, and nobody said a word.

It is their country. And I am not saying I agree or disagree with the sentiment, but it is their country. And it costs them quite a bit of money to maintain and safeguard them.

And I do not hear of anybody else offering to step up and take part of that financial burden.

The first couple of posts in this thread you were saying we should have a military expedition into the country to stop it. Thats the same as conquering.

A statue of saddam hussein isn't really worth keeping though, and he was terrible too! Not comparable to notre dame.

The frenchies were wrong and stupid when they destroyed stuff.

While htey maintain them alone they alone also get the potential profits from them.
