the other day, on one of the liberal news stations, i saw a video of a suicide bombing in iraq. one of the liberal commentators said "look what this war has come to." in less than a second i thought: wouldn't that have happened whether we were in iraq or not? people brainwashed by the media think that things like that are an effect of war while in actuality it is one of the causes of us being there

did we see daily suicide bombers in Iraq before the war? Really now. There is no such thing as a liberal media. The term is quite ridiculous.

Why was there not any mention that, ideology aside, invading Iraq was a stupid idea. Why was it not mentioned that we are conducting the Iraq war in a similar manner as the Soviet Union did in Afghanistan. Why was it not mentioned that every so called "enemy" country's leader was either put into power directly by us or that we set up the situation that put them into power. Remember the new stryker apc, it bears a suspicious similarity to the Soviet made deathtrap called the BTR-80. Didn't we learn, watching the Soviet soldiers being cooked alive, that driving on roads in a hostile country is a bad idea. Didn't we learn that no matter what stooge you put in power, it is going to be the occupier that does the heavy lifting. Didn't we learn that while the casualties, relatively speaking, aren't devastating, the economic consequences are. We are following in the Same path as the Soviets. Hopefully, someone will have enough sense to do some damage control so that we don't crash as hard.
