I'm not misinformed. I know the situation and I know what I think. I don't need the television to tell me what is this or what is that. The Media is biased towards sucking, yes.

How does it go hand-in-hand? Giving away military operations and discussing the progress of the war are completely different aspects.

Yup, they should be. But if you have the media along they are going to report everything, even the things they are not supposed to report. If you do not have them around, then when you give them information to report on, the public will call it BS because it was given out.

You may think one thing, but if you are not informed then you are not informed.

Hear hear!

Informing the public of the daily atrocities, stratgegies, current events, etc. of war dampens the ability for the people fighting the war to do their jobs. Public opinion of the war back home will vary greatly depending not only on the information being reported, but also the way the information is presented. Updated on progress and such are nice, but reporting on a single marine death in Iraq is horrible for morale back home.

Personally I don't think that a country that has more votes for American Idol than the president of the United States needs to know anything relevant about any conflict until AFTER it's over.

All the guardian has to do is report on what the Multi-National Forces site reports on. Once.

Excuse me?

Are you making a point here, or just trolling?

Just trolling, thought so.

You're comfortable taking the administration's word for it.

I'm not, considering that the NIE has often directly contradicted what the lying liars were currently lying about.
