Which war?

Oh, right, against terrorism. Yeah, it's a good thing we're focused entirely on that, and we aren't sprawled accross central and west asia, this way, our troops can scour the hills with precision, in combination with our allies.

Man, that would be great.

Instead we're dropping bombs that do more harm than good, because we're stuck in a quagmire, where we've allowed al qaeda to spread.

I agree. Until I know more, I have to believe it's a horrible wartime accident.

I bet they used the GBU-12 Paveway II. It's a hyrid of the 500-pound Mk 82.

It was clearly an accident. Totally preventable though, andd I'm quite certain that the people in Pakistan will be less forgiving.

The attack comes at a time of some rising tension between the United States and the new government in Pakistan, which has granted wide latitude to militants in its border areas under a new series of peace deals, drawing criticism from the United States. NATO and American commanders say cross-border attacks in Afghanistan by insurgents have risen sharply since talks for those peace deals began in March.

Condemning the American airstrike, the Pakistani military said the deaths “hit at the very basis of cooperation” in the battle against terrorism, according to an army statement quoted by news agencies. “Such acts of aggression do not serve the common cause of fighting terrorism,” it said.

The precise circumstances surrounding the reported deaths remained unclear. It was not certain from either the American or Pakistani account whether the Pakistani forces knew they were firing at the coalition forces.

I am not crazy that were still in Iraq/Afgan. But you should be complaining about why we are still in Germany/Korea, etc. When Iraq/Afgan is stable, then leave.

I'm not complaining about productive operations.

Well unless you are suggesting that we can make ourselves something other than human, these things will happen time and time again!

Stay? You mean like we have stayed in Germany, or Japan?
We should stay as long as it is in our best interest to do so!
