Yes, since World War Two we of the KGB have been infiltrating sleeper-agents into schools and colleges all over the world, several thousands each year. Once a year, we give them their instructions. They always ask - are we all to train as economists, so that we can take over the world's banks and create a huge financial crisis? No, we say. Then are we to become army officers, and become the masters of the world's armed forces? No. You must want us all to study law? Politics?

No, we smile, we want you all to become meteorologists. We want you to focus on writing PhD theses about the upper atmosphere. Over time, we will come to completely dominate the somewhat unglamorous field of climate science. Then, we add, cackling maniacally, we will force the hated capitalists to build windmills until their economies all collapse.

And we'd have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids.
