The Irish National Liberation Army and the so called "Official" Irish Republican Amry have decommissioned their weapons a few days before the IMC amnesty for militant groups ran out. The INLA have been on a "no first strike" policy since 1998 but have shot a number of drug dealers as recently as August. The OIRA have been on ceasefire since 1972 but have been involved in intercine feuds, extortion, organised crime, counterfitting and bank robberies.
A breakaway pro-British group, the South East Antrim Ulster Defence Association also decommissioned its weapons. This means that all groups currently observing ceaseifres have decommissioned leaving only the CIRA, RIRA and ÓnaÉ holding any type of arsenals.
Watch:
Personally think this is a good day for the peace process and will no doubt move the struggle forward into a new arena
