My view is that of late shareholder power and external regulatory power within these organisations has been overshadowed by management power.
This has happened gradually since the 1980's, which is why were seeing the spiralling in Management Remuneration in comparison to the average industrial wage.
The arguement has been of late that their is a restricted skill pool to draw upon which is why wages have spiralled, which is patently untrue judging from the recent financial mess.
