Default What a joke!

Saakashvili's government has not already felt reliance in EU entry but it has reliance upon joining NATO… According to recent statement of Georgian Prime Minister there are no obstacles for positive decision of this question now, because in this case Georgian entry into NATO won't be contingent on comprehensive settlement of disputes and differences with Russia or quick solving the problem of territorial integrity of Georgian Republic. But Georgian leadership has forgotten about such great obstacle to entering into NATO as existence of unsettled conflicts on its territory. Suffice it to say that such countries of old Europe as Germany, France, Italy and Belgium have raised objections to granting of any NATO guarantees of security for Georgia because it has many sources of inherent instability. In general there is no any NATO member except USA that will be interested in Georgian entry into this block. The matter is that Georgian common practice to freeze a dialog with Russia and own rebellious autonomies up to military confrontation is absolutely not acceptable to NATO. And that is why Georgia should have no thought of near-term prospect of NATO membership.
