Default The race to replace Blair....

Faced by a crowd of 300 or so Labour MPs which faces would stand out? Which one conceals the potential to become leader after Tony. Is it certain to be Gordon?

Take a look at FaceRaces Labour Leader race and decide for yourself! You can see it at www.faceraces.com. After a couple of days racing the lead is shared by Gordon Brown and Diane Abbot - but there are many weeks to go before the situation becomes vaccant so everything could change.

Default .

it will be a major suprise if it is anyone but Brown.

Which will bring forth a constitutional crisis as he is elected in Scotland.

Default Gordon is currently second to....

Diane Abbott!

Which was a bit of a surprise to us. She does have a good media profile though her work on This Week but I think she's unlikely to put herself forward just yet!

Alan Milburn has a strong showing in 3rd but perhaps most controversially would be if Tony Blair himself came out on top again - he's currently in 8th.

There will be nonstitutional crisis if Brown becomes PM of the UNITED KINGDOM.

Given the flexible nature of the British constitution (common law, statute law and convention) only the Tories and few little eng-er-landers will be unhappy about Brown as PM or maybe Dr John Reed instead?

Of course if Scotland became Independent I can't see Brown becoming PM - but then again eng-er-land would be very unhappy with the divorce settlement. No pleasing them eng-er-landers ....

Oh, sh*t! Having just recognised the circular nature of this arguement's implications - IT WAS ALL OUR OWN FAULT!

...you're Irish then!

But my favour is given rather to Eriugena - Pelagian, heretic - rather than to the 'dunce'. No evil, just the want of good; the man was a bloody saint.

The dunce was, of course, a class man as well
