Rabbitte looked tired on Q&A last night whereas Biffo seemed fired-up, in that Fianna Fail way - playing to the gallery with brusque, dismissive one-liners that impress the boys in the pub but are centred in untruth. Nothing much of substance from anyone (apart from the Green Party lad who pointed out that no one has the 'vision thing').
The truth of this campaign of course is that both are partly right; the government is tired and inept (some of the legislation enacted this past year looks like it was written by an intellectualy impaired grand-niece of Jackie Healy Rae), and the 'alternative' makes people nervous as they seem just as pathetic as those they would seek to replace.
I will do as I always do; ignore the party affiliation and vote for the candidate I consider most competent. Often this involves holding one's nose at the polling station....

One thing that isn't being covered are the local issues. By Friday night, the talk will be of how well the local independents are polling. At this monet, the success of the independents is being played down. I wonder what is going on in Mayo about the Rossport campaigns?
Polls are for the amusement of the Taoiseach-Idol worshipers.
Classic Line: "the government is tired and inept (some of the legislation enacted this past year looks like it was written by an intellectualy impaired grand-niece of Jackie Healy Rae)"

. Maybe even his son, the pernicious man in the hat who believes that publicans run the country. An education never stopped Jackie-healy from running the country!
I see signs for the PDS "No Left Wing Governemnt!" , they must be in worse trouble than I thought. Wonder if Jabba The Harney will lose her seat?
