Default Something new on foot and mouth outbreak in GB

Men, I've got some sensational information on the matter of an outbreak of foot and mouth disease that I was able to learn from Latvian news media!... So, according to them, the virus of foot and mouth disease was brought to Great Britain through the agency of smuggled infected meat that arrived from Eastern Europe. It was not specified from which country the infected meat came from, but I feel that it was Poland. Perhaps all of you know that Poland has been recently facing difficulties in marketing of its meat products so it must have decided to enter into unethical competition against its largest competitor, Great Britain. I think it was not too difficult to do this, Polish smugglers only needed to bring the infected meat close to a laboratory in foot and mouth it make it suspected to be the source of the infection. There is only one thing that I still don't get. Considering that Latvia was well in the know of the plans of Poland, why did they not inform British security service? What Poland has done, is a real sabotage!

Default The Poles?

The Brits are not even taking it that seriously - having set-down 'decontamination-mats' a lorry (truck) driver I spoke with today, who crossed from Stranraer to Larne, openly admitted that his wide-spread tires were not 'sanitised' at the point of crossing. And no one cared. Essex/Suf(*)(*)(*)(*)s is miles away from us.

But, God speed the new scare - the price of Donegal lambs is set to go from a very low point to a break-even value. It never rains but it pours....

last year the " Bluetongue" virus hits Dutch farm at Kerkrade.

This year:-
Quote:
Bluetongue disease, a virus that has killed livestock across Europe, has been found in the UK for the first time - in a cow at a farm in Suffolk.

There have been nearly 3,000 cases in Northern Europe since July, which had fuelled fears of its UK arrival.

The price of Donegal lambs is set to go from a very low point to a break-even value or maybe making a profit? It never rains but it pours and then there are floods.
