We carry a titanic defense budget so that we can save their asses in case of attack, and they give us an airstrip. Garsh, anyone can see that's an even swap.

Iceland benefited from the carry trade hence its high GDP rating.

Ireland is up there, but you have to be over 40 and settled down before 1995 to be living it large.

I didn't see women in Iceland that were too skinny. In fact I didn't find them pale either, they kind of reminded me of Swedish women in that they have these natural tans to go with that white blonde hair. To me, Iceland and Sweden...six of one, half dozen of the other.
That's what I was going to say. They are hot. End of discussion. You simply can't go wrong.

Default I'm detecting a lot of jealousy from this thread.

If the UN claimed the US were #1, the same people writing it off now, would be cheering for it.

One great thing about the U.S. is the diversity. My wife and I are retired full-time RVers traveling with the seasons. We spent the summer in NH, and are now in west Texas after spending a month in New Mexico. Plan to winter over in Texas and then start heading up toward Montana for the next summer, then maybe head down the west coast.

I spent 20 years in the Navy, traveling all over the world, and no matter how infatuated I may have been over a certain country at a certain time, I have to say that nothing beats the good old U. S. of A.

Default This is a thread to nowhere

If the USA is not the most desired country to live in, then why do we have more illegal and legal immigration than the entire populations of most other countries?

Oh, I know, they are coming here by the millions so they can get their free money, and then move to Ice Land. With global warming, that should be a paradise in about 200 years.

Default The U.N. needs to be slapped down a notch or two

I find anything that the U.N. says or does highly suspicious, as I believe there is an agenda afoot to destroy the sovereignty of the rich "first-world" countries with things such as the so-called Law of the Sea treaties, and any other underhanded activities they might be involved in, all in the name of "fairness" propelled by a sense of envy.
