Centralism always goes on the cost of democracy and freedom, it’s a matter of fact that the smaller countries in Europe offer more freedom and are more prosperous than their greater neighbors! Countries like Russia and China on the other hand are paternal regimes of the worst kind! We Europeans like it to be diverse! We do not want to become a indifferent mix-race just having one language and no culture like Russia, China, or the Americans!

Good job the EU is a federated system and not all joined up as in the US model.

Technically speaking, we dont have one language. Lots of people in America speak different languages. We just have one official language. And I fail to see how a mono-racial society is "diverse".

If you like diversity, you should like mix-race.

The EU like the Soviet Union? You have to somewhat retarded to believe that.
Russia or China or North Korea are like the old Soviet Union. Hell the US government is more authoritharian than the EU could ever hope to be.

And speaking as one of the least populous EU states I do not want a more democratic EU, I want a representive one on a national basis rather than a straight vote system.

pure rubbish...in fact, based on current UN, Debki Index and Global Census reporting, the western EU has better human rights record, economic reform, freedom, quality and standard of living than the USA:

The EU isnt a government body...every country stands sovereign and self governing...the EU is an economic, labor union, trade agreement organisation. One can not compare the USA's federal-state government system to the that of the EU...the EU is progressive state of affairs....better comparison would be USA to France or Germany...a federal government with individual states within the country.

Stay on focus, regardless of what one man's experience, opinion may have been. with his history of abuse and civil rights being taken away in eastern prisons, is his head that clear? Should OJ Simpson right a book about the USA and it be taken tic for tac?
