And I don't recall any political 'old style bigots' ever having the guts the broadcast themselves on shows such as have i got news for you, in which two of the wittiest people in television have a job of tearing into anyone else on the show, no, it's a pretty new concept for any politician. Are you just randomly word associating- I'll have a go, jeffrey archer- r'n'b music lover.

Any old style in boris is merely blended with new ideas in a formula that will hopefully improve the city of london and I for one wish him the best of luck for a term that by the way he hasn't even started yet.

Might I suggest you read a little more carefully? English is a language you folks on the Eastern side of the pond cobbled together, yourself, after all.

What I said is that he APPEALS TO old style bigots. His use of terms such as "watermelon grins" and "piccininnies" , as well as the fact the BNP selected him as their number 2 candidate (and yes, I know he rejected such endorsement) certainly supports the notion that my statement was accurate.

My original observation still stands, namely that the two most prominant candidates represented a difficult choice in terms of the lesser evil. Lest you interpret such a statement as my somehow choosing Red Ken as the lesser of such, please be advised that I don't. IMO, it is people like Livingston or the Respect Party who represent the greater danger to you folks because their twisted sense of multiculturalism (and political pandering) had led them to support that which is absolutely incompatable with modern, liberal society.

BTW -- I don't know the television program in question, so wouldn't know what transpired. As to the wittiest people in television, though, would Steven Frye be one of them by any chance? I'm a big fan of his.

Stephen Frye was a guest presenter on the prog in Question, like Boris "my mum was a slave" Johnson. I think he claimed his Dad bought her at an Auction (before Ebay was invented) and then married her I think!

He is the most positive thing as a Labour Party member that I can take out of last week, as Dave linked the conservative's success to Boris so we will link any slip that Boris may make over his term in office, and I for one cant wait after all he does appear to have the ability to speak without putting his undoubted brain into gear, but who knows

To me he is like an Elizabethan court Jester, and as the current Queen has a husband "Phil the Greek" who also has a propensity to make rascist comments, calling asian people "slitty eye's ect" he should go down a storm in the Court of Queen Madge!

As to Red Ken I liked him I also liked that fine wordsmith Gorgeous George G ( both expelled from the Labour Party), the way george ripped the arses out of your senators pants at the senate hearing was a joy, but the respect party will hold it's national conference in a telephone box, and have room for billie piper! (I had to find a way to work her in)

I am one of the loudest voices within my party against pandering to any special interest groups

I did watch that live on TV and was a wee bit surprised those Senators hadn't done their homework on Gorgeous George -

It did bring a wee bit o' smile to the face - but only because he is a Scotsman - and no other reason!!!

Boris Johnson is the mayor of LDN? The world has gone upside down, lol!

Local Councillor elections, this means nothing....

I thought you American tories liked Blair b/c of his support for the war in Iraq? You like Blair but you don't like the party that gave Blair the power to make those decisions? Right....

Brown is an Atlanticist. Most British PM's have been. Conservatism in Europe and America differs. Remember this. Chirac was a Conservative, or did everyone conviently forget that? Hopefully the Tories won't get into power before they elect a new leader. Cameron is a Liberal in Conservative clothing. I do not like Tories but at least their previous leaders where unashamedly Tory unlike Cameron.

If that were the case Bashfull Boris would be the Mayor of Sidney.

Dave is a conservative in liberal clothing rather like Churchill but without Churchills steel or interlect.

In his favour he does not seem to be a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing religious nut job like Blair.

Have a good International workers day holliday tommorow.
