No, I mean we just take the European Union and remove the Europaean Parliament, the European Comission and the European Council.
So we just keep the duty free trades and the protection of our jobs.

They're open to abuse. That's what makes non-tariff barriers so difficult to control. Its easy to come out with convenient, although typically bogus, excuses.

And it grew both day and night, Till it bore an apple bright; And my foe beheld it shine, And he knew that it was mine, And into my garden stole, When the night had veiled the pole: In the morning glad I see; My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

I agree, that these regulations make it more difficult to compete for smaller companies or for companies in countries, where it is more difficult to get the money, they need, East European countries, for instance. On the other hand, it brings quality standards to products. I am also for environment and social standards. A competition for lower social, environmental or quality standards between countries is nothing, we should ask for.

Abuse is possible. I heard, that in South Korea they made tax investigations to all people, who bought an imported car. It was to make South Korean people buying South Korean cars only.

Now wouldn't that be good!

But when was the last time the turkeys allowed us to vote for Christmas?

Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?' But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because conscience tells one it is right. Martin Luther King Jr.

Of course that will never happen because our dictators in Brussels will never give away their power. And when the Lisbon Treaty gets ,,approved" there will be no more participation of the member states.
