Default Woman gets $1.7 Million for public spanking

http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/04/29/sp....ap/index.html

First, if it meant so much to her, you say, "I am not going to do that, fire me". So there is some degree of volentary participation. I mean, if they told her to do something more degrading, she would have refused. So she drew the line at that point that the job was worth participating, even if reluctantly.

Second, Fine, give her some $$ I guess because that certainly is a bit extreme, public spanking of employees. But $1.7 Million seems a bit much.

Default I imagine...

...it might have been less had it been a private spanking...

Default these type of retreats

have been controversial for a long time. They try to create unit cohesion by encouraging etreme group behavior assuming this bonds people. It has been a disaster from the beginning.

I think the exercise was silly. But having said that, this woman's a trouble-maker. She's filed "sexual harrassment" lawsuits before. She's definitely got an attitude and no one would want her in their employ. She's the kind of person who goes around looking for a way to sue and get some of that "easy" money.

Now, maybe she can stay home and watch soap operas.

Boo hoo.

That incident is not worth $1.5 million.

What is society coming to?

How many women do YOU know who have filed 2 sexual harrassments in their lifetime? Plus.....have you seen her? Do you think that many people are hitting on her?

You stole my line, JP5!

It comes down to this: if someone at work (or outside of work) suggests that you do something that you don't think is right... DON'T DO IT!!!

I just joined a new company a few months ago. I can only imagine if someone had approached me and said, all the new people get spankings. I bet you'll pretend that I'm not a new person pretty dang quick.

This is another one of those stories that I haven't really gotten that much info on. But just how was this spanking sexual? It's stupid for adults to do this sort of thing in the workplace anyway, but just how was it sexual??? Was she pantsed/skirted? Did someone get friendly with her while she was yelping, please sir, may I have another?!

If they bruised her, I'd give her some money for hospital bills and maybe pain & suffering. For punitive damages, I'd give her a cold $1 bill. this is just retarded (unless I've missed a WHOLE bunch of details). Yeah, I've seen her. She'd have to pay me to even look at her butt... no way would I touch it. Eeeeewwwww!

was voluntary so the suit should have been thrown out in the first place.
