Thread: What's the issue with feminism?

First, a definition,

the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men."

What is so controversial about that?

Feminism has brought us birth control, women's work protections against harassment, and progress towards equality with men in general. What's so horrible about these things?

Certainly, there are some "feminists" who tend to exaggerate problems with men and be hostile towards them, but they go beyond the standard definition of feminist; most feminists criticize patriarchy and how it favors men over women which fits the definition.


So, what's the problem with feminism?

I blame the Spice Girls.

That was when i first noticed and became aware of the huge coperate commercialisation of feminism. Which told women they can have it all and the men would fit the bill.

Feminism was about women rights to gain them equal footing. Now it is a means to sell adverts, music videos and ceral boxes.

I think you are misunderstanding me. I'm not saying that there is a problem with feminism; I'm asking why you have a problem with it.

That very definition has huge problems in it although i don't thing it's an accurate definition anyway. When they say political equality they mean pushing woman into politics through quotas/positive discrimination. Positive discrimination is wrong in every case. Economic equality is the same thing, again, quotas and positive discrimination. Both these things serve to "empower" woman but they in fact only empower a few woman who are usually feminist and who use that power to harm men through laws and propaganda. Examples of this could fit in a book.

Rather than repeat the many problems all Americans have with feminisim or feminazism, I invite you to open up my post on this forum titled "Feminism means genocide" and watch & listen to the good doctor outline the many disturbing attributes of the feminist movement. In short, feminism is responsible for the killing of our children, the break up of our traditional family, declining morals and the emasculating of the weaker liberal men in our society which in a weird way may be an upgrade to their current lifestyle. There isn't one positive thing one can say about these bunch of man hating lesbos. Be sure to watch and listen to the entire video inside the link of my post to get your answer(s).

Positive discrimination, by definition, cannot be wrong. Its a concept that refers directly to the 'theory of the second best' (and how inefficient discrimination can be eliminated given the 'first best' is not available as a practical option). The law of large numbers also informs us that it will actually increase standards (unless of course you believe that women are somehow inferior and other backward thinking)

One overriding fact:

Feminist theories do not allow for the natural tendencies of men. They do to men exactly what they claim was wrongly done to women for centuries.

Plain and simple.

They deny the natural tendencies of men (and the majority of women as well) and attempt to redefine society without any regard for those tendencies.

"So, what's the problem with feminism?"

People believe the bull(*)(*)(*)(*). Back in the days of Murphy Brown a friend of mine decided to have a baby and keep her career. The baby, who was darling, was about two months old when my friend was sobbing uncontrollably saying, "This is impossible". She was right. She managed to enroll some friends, like me, to help but alone and with a career, yes, it would be impossible. Her daughter was about five when she abandoned the feminists and got married.

Then there are the women who believe the government when the government says they can support you and your baby better than that disgusting man can. So, women consign themselves to a lifetime of government dependency and poverty. After all, we all know a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.

And then there are the flat-out lies that lead women into feeling they are permenantly victims. Women earn $.77 for every dollar a man earns for doing exactly the same work. It's a lie but one that liberals love and feminists embrace.

One of my personal favorites was an innocent question about why behavior that is described as aggressive for a male is described as assertive for a female. Answer: Because it is.

Feminisim follows the liberal strategy of dividing everyone by race, gender, income, residency, ethnic origin and perpetuating anger and hostility from which they can benefit. Whether it's feminists or racists or classists or whatever it's the same.

It can absolutely not increase standards or productivity because positive discrimination rewards people on the basis of sex, color, etc. All characteristics which one shouldn't look when choosing who to employ or give any kind of position because they in no way contribute to their ability to do that job. Presumption that diversity increases productivity is bull(*)(*)(*)(*). Not to mention that proponents of positive discrimination assume a bunch of other things which are also total bull(*)(*)(*)(*).
