[h=2]This is the face of the Democrat party; an angry pissed-off old man called Harry Reid. When Democrats had it all for 2 years....the presidency, the Senate with a filibuster-proof majority AND the House......they ran things like a dictatorship. In fact, Obama told Republicans when he came to office, "I won....and elections have consequences," meaning, it will be our way or the highway guys. THIS is what is wrong with Washington D.C.: DEMOCRATS! Let's vote 'em out in 4 days!!!!

"Today, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pledged to stonewall any attempt by Mitt Romney to pass his agenda if elected. “Mitt Romney’s fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his ‘severely conservative’ agenda is laughable,” spat Reid."[/h]

Democrats only had a filibuster proof for about 6 weeks while the fiasco in Minnesota was being worked out and Harry Reid is already blocking every single republican piece of legislation so that's nothing new.

He tables every single bill they propose and has set records for using cloture to end any debate the republicans try to bring to the Senate floor. This guy is the most obstructionist person every to rule over the Senate.

You think thats unreasonable? After all , he was just saying they will oppose Romney's agenda IF he somehow manages to win which isn't likely in my opinion but possible I guess. Remember though what Mitch McConnell the Senate minority leader said at the beginning of Obama's term. "my number one priority is making sure president Obama’s a one-term president." Two can play those games.

Not sure why this is news. Both parties have it as a priority to get the opposition guy out and its been this way since Washington left office. So they are finally admitting it, good for them lol.

Does anyone really think the democrats weren't trying to sink Bush and get Gore in there?

Please, they brought all legislation to a standstill in his final year. This is old politics.

Great! More stalemate to ensure government won't continue to make things worse.

    Yes, I'm serious.

So obstructionism isn't a bad thing? You seem to be in favor of it now. Were you liberals just lying before?

That wicked old fart needs to be forced into retirement. He wasn't elected to stamp his foot and throw temper tantrums, but to do his job.... same thing w/Pelosi.

If Romney wins the Dems should vote against everything he proposes. That's what the Repubs did to Obama.

I am in favor of both sides working together and compromising some to get something accomplished. That's not been easy lately and was made even more difficult when you have people signing pledges they will not compromise.

True compromise doesn't happen. We end up getting a huge overwhelming chocolate cake and no sweetener. The sweetener stays in the shelves for the cooks.

Republicans have no problem compromising. You saw this when they extended unemployment benefits in exchange for the Bush Tax Cut extension. Its the democrats who have drawn a line in the sand and walked away from the table.

The situation is ripe for the democrats to work with the republicans since they are holding the tax cut extension over their heads again. They could bargain for any number of things but simply won't talk to the other side. Republican have already stated they are willing to bargain.

It's always a bad thing yet you'll laugh at it instead of opposing it, because naturally you won't do that when your guy isn't in office.

True. But he's got the Nevada mafia in his back pockets. That's how he keeps his job. No telling how many arms get twisted in order for him to stay in office.

Obama offered 2 dollars in spending cuts for one dollar in tax revenues. But thats impossible for republicans because so many have signed Grover Norquists pledge. The american people will judge who is really being dogmatic and obstructionist.

So you oppose republican obstructionism right now? You oppose the policy that making Obama a one term president is the "number one priority"? Not compromising on bills to help the American people, not creating more jobs, not reaching across the aisle?

The irony would be jaw dropping.
