    To get that rate up you need to raise the capital gain rate. I think that would be fair. Why should people earning money off investments pay a lower rate than people earning wages.

    Neither of the rich/elites parties will allow that to happen and it will always be given preferential treatment by the best government corporate money can buy. I agree, as long as it remains in investments no taxes should be withheld, but when the profits are drawn out for income it becomes a taxable income, just like anybody who earns a wage/salary.

    yea, people get crazy partisan and end up sounding hypocritical - both sides are equally aggressive and hateful of the other side - thats how it works

    Cut out the crapola like the above across all Government agencies and we can talk about raising revenue. Why on Earth should taxpayers foot the bill for (*)(*)(*)(*) like that????
