Not for me. One chooses the life one leads.

I'm not a Floridian. My chances of survival are significantly higher than theirs in the survival stakes.

Not exactly true. While the murder rate in the WHOLE state of Florida (averaged out) is higher than in Montreal. There are many (if not most) places in Florida (like where I live) where the murder rate is much lower than in Montreal. In some places in Florida, the murder rate is zero.

Some states with very high murder rates, have them just becasue of one bad city (like Louisiana > New Orleans) and Nevada > Las Vegas). But if you don't live in that bad city, your town doesn't have that high murder rate.
Montreal ? High murder rate compared to most places in Florida.

Nine guilty in beatings

Re-read this story from 2007. Everybody was all upset because they were actually found guilty.

Sorry TC, but 2 large frightening lessons about all this (that go beyond how individuals should behave:
2) Take what the lame street media reports with a grain of salt. They wanted controversy where there was little to none. They made a mountain out of a mole hill because it suits their purpose.

Example, what she says. I recall that case and the sadness of those that really wanted a conviction of the under-cover cop: http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2013-07-17.html

1) The Power of Government. Why, in the LSM, did I see only a blurry pic of Zimmerman when there were closer, sharper pictures showing his plainly busted nose and bash marks on the back of his skull? The prosecution is being lambasted as legit targets of disbarment for failure to turn over exculpatory evidence. The Judge is accused of obvious prosecutorial bias. The President of the US is on record having sympathy for Martin. I've heard none for Zimmerman.

It is a frightening thing when the government decides to target you. There may be explanations for this, but the success rate of prosecutions in the US relative to the rest of the Western World should concern us.

The OP draws the proper conclusion from the Martin-Zimmermann incident. If Martin had not committed battery against Zimmermann, Zimmermann's gun would never have come into play.

But if Zimmerman stayed in the truck after calling the Cops, TM would still be alive and NO GUN would come into play.

move the goal posts all you want. truth hurts.

I think the main lesson that this case teaches us is that the Media and Liberals are waging an increasingly less covert war on our way of life by undermining societal harmony. This is a war with multiple fronts, and began in our education system - or utter lack thereof.

This is just a continuance of stupid posts from you.

Trayvon engaging in battery is a violation of law. Zimmerman leaving his truck was not, and NOT ONLY was not, was PERFECTLY LOGICAL.

And IN ADDITION, Zimmerman was already out of his truck when he was talking to 911.

DUH.

Getting out of your vehicle is perfectly legal. Pummeling George's head "MMA style" for a "ground and pound" session IS NOT legal.

- - - Updated - - -

Following once isnt stalking.

(2) A person who willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follows, harasses, or cyberstalks another person commits the offense of stalking, a misdemeanor of the first degree,

He stalked Trayvon because the neighbors and him profiled TM as the neighborhood criminal. AND...once he left his truck and "lost sight" of Trayvon, it became a stalking situation. If he had gone back to his truck, no stalking.

just like a Deer. Hunters "lose sight" of deer in the woods, and they stalk them to get them back "in focus"

And to stalk someone, only takes one time. you don't need 20 times to be considerd a stalker. ever heard of a rapist? they don't stalk women for weeks.. they hit them fast. quick stalking.

Go back to sleep.

The main lesson is that it's open season for black minors in Florida.

That Al Sharpton is further exposed as a race-pimp hustler is most apropos.

Otherwise, I can't see any Mod here giving your comments any more credit than the rest of us do.

Good lord, still arguing over this. Here's a question, what's the difference between a Treyvonite and a Treyvonista? Are those the new and improved euphemisms for the N-word? Is that question race-bait enough? Sheesh.

That was a quote from the statute I provided. The silly ideas bouncing around in your head have no effect upon the statute.

A person who willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follows, harasses, or cyberstalks another person commits the offense of stalking, a misdemeanor of the first degree,

You are badly abusing the term 'stalking', and doing a disservice those who trly are victimized by it.

If Zimmermann had remained in the vehicle he would have had no hope of ever being able to observe a possible burglar.

If cops never chased thugs they'd never make arrests.

What Is Main Lesson To BE Learned From the Zimmerman Case ?

That when you gonna shot someone make sure you kill them, then there is only one person telling their side of what happened.
