He's not. Negative taxes are different from tax refunds. Tax refunds have to do with the IRS over-taxing one year, and paying the company back the difference.

A negative tax system, is where the Government considers you "underprivileged", and gives you money to supplement your income.

I'm not aware if a Federal program exists, but many states do. However, they aren't for corporations.

No one does any of this bowing. We just stick up for Americans against greedy Democrats trying to steal their money to spend on some failed social programs. You are not better then any of the people you complain about. They all employ more people then you, they support more families then you. That is the truth, take it to heart. Before you go about complaining about the rich, you go out and do something useful with your time as people value it, and employ at least as many people as they do - this way you won't seem like a person suffering from envy, and you will have a leg to stand on.

The rich pay more as a % in taxes now, and before the Obama tax hikes, then at any time in the last 60 years. The biggest tax cuts for middle class families have come from Republicans. The biggest tax hikes on middle class people have come from Democrats. Also true. If we grovel at the feet of the working American, trying to let them keep what they made; then you grovel at the feet of political rulers, trying to steal from your fellow Americans to line their pockets of your ruling class.

What is more than obvious is that i provided a link that explains it , if you want more just ask , my search found like a million related articles.

Still those guys in the provided link got something for nothing thus beyond the technicalities negative taxes or whatever else you like to call it applies.

Since i am not American i do not see the partisan side of it and from the little i know about the (usually boring) US political scene is that both mainstream parties bow to their "sponsors" who makes it more or less matters not.

Wrong, they got a Tax Refund, meaning, they got back some of the money they originally gave to the Government in the first place.

If I give someone $10, and he gives me back $5, did I make money? No.

Just curious if that dreaded 1% of the filthy rich included leftists like John Kerry, the entire Kennedy clan and George Soros? Woops, you were talking about the job creators in our society. Guess that leaves those rich leftists out, eh? Those damn rich Republicans/Conservatives, always creating jobs without looking to the government to help them. Shame on them.

None of the billionaires in the screed are entrepreneurs.

None of them ever seem to own a majority of the stock, but yet they manage to get a majority of stockholders to go along with their plans. There must be more than one guy unhappy with company performance.

They have carryover losses from previous years. C'mon. Is this so hard? Do you know how capital goods are deducted? You can't take them all in one year. From your source:

Which one of those did nothing to get their tax deductions? Because buying capital goods and depreciating them isn't nothing.

When people worship money, don't be surprised when they idolize those who have the most.

From what i see in the table none of them had any losses since 2008 and they all look quite profitable .
Hey i am not a native , i don't know how your tax system works besides what i read in the internet . The links make clear that depreciating is a method they use to low their assets and consequently their taxes , it may be legal (or not) but still looks like cheating.

Because they couldnt deduct the capital goods in one year. You realize what a capital expenditure is right? lets start there.

Yeah, I know. Yet without understanding what you are talking about you feel very free to just comment as you please, and feel strongly about it, am I right? (And consequently you are left?)

Who on the right idolizes the rich. Name please.

Do you not worship your rulers more so?

I didn't mean every single person on the right. But, the entire Republican platform minus the evangelical issues is about money worship. There's a reason they are the party of the rich.

And no, I do not worship my rulers. I believe in a type of system that works best. The way our government is working right now is not the way I fully support. I am a liberal, yes, but that does not mean I support and agree with everything the Democrats do. I have ideas and beliefs, not political parties. For example, I'm not a big fan of Obamacare. I'm also not a big fan of raising taxes when it's not prudent.

I meant one name, not all of them. Rich people vote Democrat too you know. Especially rich people who make their money thanks too the mechanisms of government. The Republicans are the party of the taxpayers, all of them.

Good for you. I had you mistaken or someone who holds different positions, my apologies.

    Easy:

1st one: Probably just means they're receiving refunds for taxes they paid 5 or more years ago. If you had any personal experience with what a convoluted mess the IRS is, you'd understand.

2nd. Tax Subsidy. We give these to the Windmill and Solar Companies too, but it's not money, it's a special tax-write off that allows them to pay less in taxes for that year.

So they're not getting money, just giving less to the Government, it seems, in quantities of $21.6, $10.7, $7.7. and $6.0 billion.

It's not "technically" a subsidy either, the real term for them is Tax credit but people do tend to play fast & loose with economic definitions, so...

No, not all of them. Only the rich ones. They are the ones their policies are crafted to benefit. Sometimes there might be some tertiary benefits for the middle and lower classes, but that's optional. Trickle down economics sound familiar?

So why'd you answer him in the first place? The elite in this country got to where they are by stepping all over people and exploiting them; hardly something to aspire to if you have any moral values. Read labor history in this country and it might open your eyes wide.

Someone on the left can acknowledge all the different forms of leftism, but lumps the "right" into one.
Someone on the right can acknowledge all the different forms of rightism, but lumps the "left" into one.

The funniest thing, when it comes to thinking men, I've never known one who fit into either camp.

There are many types of rich, and there are many types of poor.

When this nation was flourishing, it was filled with Henry Ford type "rich" people. Nationalist to the core.

Now this nation is floundering, filled with Steve Jobs type "rich" people. Globalist to the core.

I do not deny a person the right to reap the fruits of their intellectual property and gusto, nor do I deny a human being the right to declare allegiance to the globe over their nation.

What I do deny is the right of the rich to control national policy when they no longer have allegiance to the nation.

When our system was created, money was made king, as wealth was a measure of fortitude and self worth. And people were fed up with the church dictating rulers. This was successful, as a man's worth grew with the nation's worth. The two were one in the same.

Now that a man's worth is tied to the globe, and he can be rich living in America, through growing China and bankrupting America, to give him any say in this nation's politics, let alone free reign over a state for hire, is where the problem lies.

There are two sides to capitalism and two sides to American history. There is the pretty side and the not-so-pretty side. I suggest not camping out exclusively on one or the other since both constitute the reality.

Who enacted the biggest tax cuts for the middle class? The largest tax hikes for the middle class? I believe you will find the answer to republicans, then democrats.

How is trickle down government working for you?

    - - - Updated - - -

So the people who scared the money away in the first place should be the only ones calling shots? How will you keep them from abandoning your cities? Make the problem national?

Nothing new here, this is the way the rich/elites have remained rich since the whiskey rebellions. They use their clout and the best government corporate money can buy to maintain a clear overbearing advantage well above any of the peasants can ever hold or reach for.

The robber barons of today are no different than the one's that existed in the late 19th century, they took whatever their little heart desired because there was nothing to stop them. Certainly not elected officials who are like a crooked lawyer kept on retainer to assure their next best move will be a successful one. Not much different than being the banker in the game Monopoly and using the banks money every time you buy something for yourself. That is the art to being a robber baron, using the governments money or credit, and/or other people's money to achieve your goals.

There are little to no differences between the robber barons of today and those of the late 19th century, but amazingly different attitudes between the rich/elites after the great depression, that helped participate in the biggest economic windfall in US history in the decades following WWII. What they understood that these idiots of today do not is that the mechanism has to be maintained and kept running strong. IOW ya gotta make sure ya throw the peasants a bone once in a while to keep them happy and productive.

These robbers barons of today have abandoned the common man and set a path of destruction, and devastation with everything they lay their hands on. Good for them, but bad for country, and the nations economy as a whole. It doesn't matter to them since they can just move on to the next target, once they bleed the one they are currently working on dry. Where you are confused is this isn't a democrat or republican issue, it is a class warfare issue, and domination of the government is the key to their success, and they have both parties as their allies in this war against the economy and the American people.

Eventually they will have to pump life back into an economy so they have someplace to loot in the future, the problem is, they may abandon the USA completely and choose another host to feed up, to be bled dry when the time is right.

The people who scared the money away? Are you referring to the puppets in Washington who argue legislation written by industry? NEWSFLASH: profit margins have never been higher. It is all a joke. The wealthy and the state are one and the same. There isn't 2 forces at war. Everything that has happen in the last 50 years has been orchestrated, and the government is working perfectly as to its design. The people who don't realize that are those who believe the lie that our government is anything but a tool for the wealthy. You must learn to read between the lines. I don't care if you have 10 million. In a nation with 250 billionaires, you're not rich. You are simply the new middle class, via inflation. I'm sure you are getting smacked around by the state, and because you actually think you're rich, you think what you're being told is truth. But it is far from it.

If the REAL RICH, the billionaires, were the victims in any way, shape, or form of our current system, they'd be orchestrating a revolution as I type. Millionaires are the new middle class to be taxed to death, and since when 60k-100k was middle class more people could achieve and have enough of a nice life to tax, to which created the modern monster of a state, the rate to which they'll tax this new middle class to keep said monster afloat will be astronomical. I know 6 figure earners and double digit millionaires are frustrated, but you must realize who your enemy is. It is not people who make less than you who dictate policy coming out of DC. It is those above you. Of course the wealthy create legislation to give poor people handouts. It keeps them from rioting in the streets and begging on their front lawn. And in the end you, the new middle class they have tricked into thinking are on their side, have to foot the bill. They won't pay for any of it. Pretty good scam, eh?

No doubt people in government make their friends rich. I am also a free market capitalist and do not like state meddling with the economy.
